Well, it is over, I mean the tv show but totally the opposite for the crowned winner of the race. In fact this is only the beginning for the talented Ms. Sharon Needles. I had my eyes on this girl since the short self-presentation they did last January before the season started. There was something about Sharon that made her stand out to me and I talked about it in my blog dated January 9th

The season finale was also a reunion of the whole cast and was filmed in the lovely El Portal theater in Los Angeles with a lot of past contestants in the audience as well as some relatives of the top 3 racers. Willam was there explaining why he was kicked out of the competition. It turned out that he had several nightly encounters with his boyfriend at his hotel which now we know, it’s a no no! Latrice Royale, with her bigger then life stature and charisma carried herself with class and poise while she was awarded with a well deserved Miss Congeniality sash. She will also star in the upcoming Drag U airing this June on Logo TV.

Chad Michaels, with his class and polished act, Phi Phi O’Hara with her sharp tongue and Sharon Needles with her charisma and out-of-the-box looks, stood there breathless when Rupaul announced the name of the winner: Sharon Needles!!!

I agree with the decision Rupaul made, because like Sharon, I think out of the box and it is great to have someone like that representing a new aspect of drag. She is the embodiment of the underdog and a bit of Cinderella who has the last word and her last words were: Happy Halloween everyone!
